The first quire is loosely bound, the second quire consists of two unbound bifolia.
The manuscript is in relatively good condition. There is, however, some staining and the leaves have in places been cropped close to the written area.
One unruled column with a varying number of lines.
One main hand writing a steady and easily legible cursive. A few lengthy additions by the same hand.
XXXX
No decoration.
First quire bound with string, no covers; second quire unbound.
The manuscript contains records of the complaints and testimonies given in the court sessions held in various parishes in
Häme

Tavastehus

1589
. The records are written by an experienced scribe who also made some additions and corrections. The manuscript is a transcript, which was probably at some point part of a larger collection.
The later history of the manuscript is not known. Probably it was sent to be controlled in a court of appeals; fol. : (in a hand of
saec. XVII

How the manuscript came to the
Swedish National Archives
is unknown.
