One main hand writing a steady,
late-16th-century
cursive.No decoration.
Modern cardboard binding done at the National Library. Flyleaves have been
added to the beginning (2) and end (1) of the manuscript.
The manuscript contains the accounts of
Krister Klasson Horn
’s estates from
1585
(and an inventory for 1586), written after Krister had received his part of an
inheritance. The manuscript was written by an experienced scribe – likely one
working for Krister Horn
, and it was probably at some point one part of a larger
collection. It was possibly kept at the family estate in
Åminne
, and may have been
confiscated after Krister Horn was sentenced for acting against King Karl IX
, either
in 1600
(first sentence) or 1605
(second sentence).The
National Libary of Sweden
’s three golden crowns are stamped on the front cover.
Below them the title of the book ‘Chr. Claesson Horn, Jordebook 1585’, also in gold.
Below that, the shelf-mark ‘I.h.29’ in ink. Shelf-mark found also on the inside
front cover.Old shelf-mark ‘Biograf. 30 H’ on fol. 1r.
Notes on the
contents of the book on the second flyleaf at the front. Written in a hand of
saec.
