Two quires: the first has six bifolia and the second four.
In decent condition. Damaged by moisture at some point. The first folio has darkened somewhat due to wear and tear.
Text in a single column, not ruled.
One hand typical of
mid-16th-century
Swedish cameral records. Brown ink.
No decoration.
No covers. Both quires sewn through their centrefolds and then together.
A tenant register of
Nynäs
,
Vik
, and
Kyllelä
estates. This record is part of a large group of cameral documents pertaining to the landed estates of
Nynäs
,
Vik
,
Kyllelä
, and
Lahis
. These four estates and their tenants formed the Finnish possessions of
Anna Clemetsdotter Hogenskild
.
The financial records of
Nynäs
and related estates came to the Swedish Crown, and later the
Swedish National Archives
, when the possessions and archives of
Hogenskild Bielke
were confiscated following his execution in
1605
(see
Introduction
to these descriptions).
