A small booklet comprising of a quire of three bifolia, into which two smaller quires of one and two bifolia have been entered.
Not all the pages have been cut open. Some small damage to the outer edges of the folios.
Text in a single column, not ruled.
A single hand typical of
mid-16th-century
Swedish cameral records. Brown ink.
No decoration.
Not bound.
A rare example of a
corvée register
among the financial records related to
Nynäs
and other connected estates. Most likely used as a notebook for writing more sophisticated records.
The financial records of
Nynäs
and related estates came to the Swedish Crown, and later the
Swedish National Archives
, when the possessions and archives of
Hogenskild Bielke
were confiscated following his execution in
1605
(see
Introduction
to these descriptions).
