: 'iiii gårdar'), all with the same owner. Probably concerns a change of bailiff at the estates,
Mats Olsson
replacing
Per Bagge
in
1549
(a copy of a letter assigning Mats Olsson as bailiff survives, see the unit 6a fol. 2 of the present archival volume). The same year, the estates were inherited by
Anna Clemetsdotter Hogenskild
after her mother,
Anna Hansdotter Tott
, passed away. The change of bailiff was perhaps motivated by the change in ownership.
Anna Clemetsdotter
was married to
Nils Pedersson Bielke
, at the time head of the Crown’s Chamber (
kammarråd
).
This manuscript is part of a large block of records from the
16th century
pertaining to the estates of
Nynäs
,
Vik
, and
Lahis
, which were managed as a whole.
The financial records of
Nynäs
and related estates came to the Swedish Crown, and later the
Swedish National Archives
, when the possessions and archives of
Hogenskild Bielke
were confiscated following his execution in
1605
(see
Introduction
to these descriptions).
