?Wage register
A
register of paid wages
. The upper parts of the folios have been badly damaged,
and thus the register is difficult to date or to assign a place of origin to. On
fol. there is the heading 'Leghefolkes lön', and the register
seems to consist of short notes on wage expenses. Modern archival markings in pencil
suggest 1527
and Nynäs
(fol. ) as the dating and origin of the
register, drawing presumably on the archival context rather than any particular clue
in the manuscript.Paper
8 folios.
10,5cm × 33,5cm
10,5cm × 33,5cm
Foliation in lower right-hand corner.
Four bifolia that have previously formed a quire and are now preserved
flat and unbound.
In bad condition; the upper parts of the folios in particular have been
damaged and some text lost. Some conservation work done.
One unruled column.
A single hand, brown ink.
No decoration.
Not bound.
A perhaps fragmentary but none the less clearly produced
register of wages
paid
. Due to the damage suffered by the manuscript its context is unclear but
probably dates to the 1520s
and is part of the large collection of financial records
pertaining to Nynäs
estate.The financial records of
Nynäs
and related estates came to the Swedish Crown, and
later the Swedish National Archives
, when the possessions and
archives of Hogenskild Bielke
were confiscated
following his execution in 1605
(see Introduction
to these descriptions).Cataloguer
