          <history>
            <origin><p>The so-called ‘Palmskiöld’s Fragment’ contains a draft of <persName role="author">Paulus Juusten</persName>’s
              <title>Chronicle of Finnish bishops</title>. The fragment seems to originate from <origPlace>Viipuri</origPlace> in
              the <origDate from="1560" to="1569">1560s</origDate> and was probably written by <persName role="scribe">Henricus Matthei Raumensis</persName>, who acted as a
                teacher in the local school. He produced another short set of texts containing
                annalistic notes (<ref type="mss">Uppsala, University Library, Palmskiöld 311, pp. 95–98</ref>).</p></origin>
            <acquisition>
              <p>The
                fragment is included in a volume belonging to the collections of the antiquary <persName role="owner">Elias
                  Palmskiöld</persName> (1667–1719), which contains a large quantity of material collected or
                copied by Palmskiöld concerning Sweden. The material was organized and bound into
                volumes around the <date type="binding" from="1740" to="1760">middle of saec. XVIII</date>. The collection came to <orgName>Uppsala University
                  Library</orgName> in <date type="acquisition">1724</date>. Shelf-mark ‘Palmsk. 312’ on the inner front cover of the manuscript.</p>
