Between these sections, there are collections of various excerpts and notes probably written over a longer period of time. These include excerpts from known works found on fols. 57v, 108v (Balthasar Russow's <hi rend="italic">Nye Lyfflendische Chronica</hi>), 58v (Paulus Diaconus, <hi rend="italic">Historia Lumbartica</hi>), 67r (Johannes Schiltberger’s description of the crusade in 1396), 66v–67r (kalendars by Johannes Gothschouius and Levinus Battus).

Two quires are added between the conjoint leaves forming folios 47 and 58. Two quires are added likewise between fols. 59 and 72. A small strip (fol. 27b) has been bound in between fols. 27 and 28. The last leaf of the quire containing fols. 92–100 has been cut out. There is a large tear in fol. 49. Lower half of fol. 145 has been cut out. Internal references made to other texts found in the manuscript suggest that the original organisation of the texts may have been different (Noreen – Grape 1917, 87).

The manuscript is in good overall condition. There is some fraying along the edges and stains on the leaves.

 One column, occasionally with vertical bounding lines; number of lines varies, c. 21–25.

Two contemporary main hands writing cursives from the second half of saec. XVI (first writes, in varying styles, on fols. 1–36, 38v–59v, 66–70, 71v, 72v–92v, 108v–149; second on fols. 60r–65 and 93r–108r).

Several later additional hands make additions in the empty spaces.

Simple black pen-drawn initials or majuscules at the beginning of a new text or entry. Rubics are marked with use of a different type of script.

Bound in badly worn leather covers, which may once have been dark brown, but are nowadays yellowish. Part of the back cover has been attached with a piece of parchment from a Latin manuscript of saec. XV. Two leather thongs are visible in the inner front and back covers.

The manuscript contains a collection of (mostly) historical texts written by two scribes collaborating on a few of the texts. A few other hands have added further historical notes on the empty pages. The year 1583 is the last one to appear in these notes. However, since it appears in the additions written over a longer period of time, it should not be considered as a terminus ante quam for the manuscript as a whole.

The manuscript contains several notes referring to Finland, which indicate it originated there. The same conclusion can be made based on the earliest identifiable owner of manuscript: Jöns Persson till Salmis, who acted as a judge in Vehmaa in 1567.

Inner front cover (saec. XVI): ‘Bengt(?) Arffwed’. A few saec. XVIII–XIX notes.

Inner back cover: ‘Jöns Persson till Sallmis Sin Bock eller Krönnicka’. Fol. 149v: ‘Possessor huius liber wocatur Jöns perss.’ Jöns Persson was an acting judge in 1567 in Vehmaa (Blomstedt 1958, 394).

Fol. 149v: ‘Dis buch habe ich Bo Jurgen [von?] Fritz [?] bekömen zu Lenen vnnd soll Er Daszelbe wieder bekomen wenn Er Esz haben will den 23 Maey 1610’.

In 1643 the manuscript belonged to a ‘Lars Nillszon Roborin’ (fol. 70v). He is probably identical with Laur. Nicolai Roborinus who was entered in the matrikel of the Åbo akademi in 1641. The same hand enters a few notes on fols. 7r and 72r.

Fol. 1r: an ownership marking by Ad. Ludv. Stierneld (1755–1835) who was a lagman in Närke: ‘Detta ms. som vari min far fars har jag kjöpt på en auction i Stockholm 1785, ibland de flere v: Dalins Handskrifter.’ According to the note, the manuscript had belonged to Lars Stierneld (1669–1721). By mid saec. XVIII the manuscript had come into the hands of Jacob Röding (c. 1725–1782) whose book collection was sold in 1785 (this manuscript is no. 22 in the catalogue). The manuscript was purchased by the above-mentioned Ad. Ludv. Stierneld who collected manuscripts concerning the history of Scandinavia. He bequeathed his manuscripts to the University Library of Uppsala, which received the collection in 1858. (Noreen – Grape 1917, 84–85).
