                    <p>The manuscript is in decent condition. The binding has loosened in several
                    places and many leaves are now singletons. There is fraying along the edges and

          <history>
            <origin><p>The manuscript contains royal letters, documents relating to the
                  <placeName>cathedral of Turku</placeName> and other annalistic notes. An entry on
                the fire in Turku in <date>1593</date> is the latest dated entry (p.
                  <locus>12</locus>). This provides a tentative <hi rend="italic">tempus post quem
                  non</hi> for the main part of the manuscript, which is written by a single hand.
                Special interest is shown in ecclesiastical matters suggest that the scribe was a
                cleric. </p><p>The texts found on pp. <locus>10</locus>–<locus>53</locus> are, apart
                from some small verbal differences, also found in another manuscript (<ref
                  type="mss">Uppsala, University Library, K 12a</ref>). <bibl>Klockars (1960,
                  16–17)</bibl> argues that this section of the manuscript is based on a common
                source, a copybook written around the <date from="1485" to="1499">end of saec.
                  XV</date> (the youngest shared document is dated to <date>1457</date>). That the
                source is a lost copybook instead one of the surviving registries is suggested by
                some different readings and additions found in this manuscript and K 12a. There is
                also one document not found in other sources.</p></origin>
