                  <note><p>The quire structure is complex and in some parts impossible to
                      reconstruct, since leaves at the beginning and end of the codex have been
                      pasted together, probably during the rebinding. Quires 3 and 4, 5 and 6 are
                      surrounded by a parchment bifolium (fol. 19 and 44, 45 and 71) that forms the
                      outermost bifolium of a collection of two quires (fols. 20–32, 33–43 and
                      46–57, 58–70). Fols. 25, 51, and 64 are parchment singletons added in the
                      middle of the quire. Fol. 72 has been glued to fol. 71. Fol. 70b is an added
                      parchment slip. There are lacunae before fol. 1 and after fols. 6, 11, 19, 31,
                      37, 57, 70 and 72. The leaves after fols. 31, 57 may have been singletons
                      placed between the quires. After fol. 70 there are probably several leaves
                      missing. Fol. 45b is torn and only a part of the inner column is
                    visible.</p></note>

            <origin><p>The script suggests that the manuscript was written in <origPlace>Germany</origPlace> during <origDate from="1400" to="1499">saec.
              XV</origDate>. It contains two partly overlapping collections of <hi rend="italic">de tempore
                </hi>sermons and one badly deficient collection of <hi rend="italic">de sanctis
                </hi>sermons. Marginal notes place it in <placeName type="provenance">Scandinavia</placeName> by <date from="1500" to="1599">saec. XVI</date>.</p></origin>
            <provenance>
              <p>Fols. <locus>22r</locus>, <locus>22v</locus>, upper margin, <date from="1475" to="1525">late saec.
                  XV or early saec. XVI</date> notes in <lang>Swedish</lang> (or
                <lang>Danish?</lang>) explaining certain <lang>Latin</lang> words. The notes suggest that the
                manuscript was in Scandinavian hands by <date type="provenance" from="1500" to="1599">saec. XVI</date>.</p></provenance>
            <acquisition><p>The manuscript was acquired
              to the <orgName>National Library of Finland</orgName> (shelf-mark of the National library
                  ‘Cö.I.6’ on the inner back cover) from the <orgName>Finnish
                    Literature Society</orgName> in <date type="acquisition">1862</date>.</p>
