One unruled column with a varying number of lines.

One main hand writing a cursive is mainly responsible for the text. It appears to be the same hand that appears in Gustav Fincke's other copybooks (Stockholm, National Archives, E 8685, and Kopiesamling, vol. 18 (hand I)).

A few additional hands (fols. 4r–7v, 33r–37r) write short stints.

The manuscript contains a copybook with reports of two Swedish delegations to Russia (1561 and 1563) and correspondence relating to those delegations. It was probably written at a date roughly contemporary with the delegations. Gustav Fincke (d. 1566) took part in the second delegation and had a role in organizing the first one. This, along with the facts that the main scribe also appears in two of Fincke's other copybooks and that the manuscript was kept in the Kankas collection with other material deriving from Fincke, suggests that it was written on his order.

A note (saec. XVIII) on the inner front cover indicates that the manuscripts stems from the Kankas collection and was taken in 1706 to the Court of Appeals in Turku.
