              <p>One main hand writing a cursive mostly responsible for fols. 1–37. The same hand
                seems to appear in another registry of fines from <persName role="judge">Nils
                  Ingesson</persName>'s sessions (<ref type="mss">Helsinki, National Archives,
                  216b</ref>); it may belong to <persName role="scribe">Nils Ingesson</persName>
                himself or his scribe. Other hands write short stints on fols.
                  <locus>2v</locus>–<locus>3v</locus>, <locus>13r</locus>–<locus>13v</locus>,
                  <locus>25r</locus>–<locus>28v</locus> and <locus>38r</locus>–<locus>40v</locus>.
                One of these hands also appears in other registries (<ref type="mss">Helsinki,
                  National Archives, 1973</ref> and <ref type="mss">216b</ref> (hand III)).</p>

              <p>Modern binding of blue cardboard. Accounts of taxes levied by <persName>Nils
                  Ingesson</persName> are bound in the same volume. This probably first took place
                in modern times.</p>

            <origin><p>The manuscript contains a <title>registry of fines</title> from court sessions presided over
              by <persName role="judge">Nils Ingesson</persName> in <origPlace>Ala-Satakunta</origPlace> in <origDate>1551</origDate>. It is a transcript in which several
              scribes contributed; the main hand may belong to <persName role="scribe">Nils Ingesson</persName> himself.</p></origin>
           <acquisition>
             <p>The later history of the manuscript is unknown. Probably it was sent to
               <country>Sweden</country> after its writing and shipped back to
               <country>Finland</country> after the <placeName>Hamina</placeName> accords of
               <date type="acquisition">1809</date>. National Archives's shelf-mark '1941' on a label pasted to the last leaf of the
                preceding text.</p>
