            <origin><p>The manuscript contains transcripts of <title>court records</title> presided over by two
              judges, <persName role="judge">Mats Thomasson</persName> and <persName role="judge">Hartvik Henriksson</persName>, in <origPlace>Porvoo</origPlace> <origDate from="1592" to="1596">1592–1596</origDate>. The entire
                manuscript seems to be the work of a single scribe, presumably adding to the
                manuscript as the sessions proceeded.</p></origin>
            <acquisition>
              <p>The later history of the manuscript is unknown. Probably it was sent to
                  <country>Sweden</country> after its writing and shipped back to
                  <country>Finland</country> after the <placeName>Hamina</placeName> accords of
                  <date type="acquisition">1809</date>. National Archives' shelf-mark on the
                spine.</p>
