              <p>A register containing copies of letters (<date from="1400" to="1599">saec.
                  XV–XVI</date>) from various magistrates (<hi rend="italic">häradshövding</hi>)
                pertaining to the possessions of <persName role="owner">Hogenskield
                  Bielke</persName> in <placeName>Sääksmäki</placeName>,
                  <placeName>Tavastland</placeName> The inside front cover has a contemporary
                explanatory text that reads: “Åthskillige Häradzhöfdingars faste-, råå- och synebref
                angående H. Hogenskild Bielekes gods i Finland Sexemeki häradt uthi Tawastland.”</p>

              <p>One main hand using a black ink. A few markings on the margins and the inside cover
                with brown ink were made by what is possibly a different hand.</p>

            <bindingDesc>
              <p>Limp binding using a medieval parchment fragment from a copy of <title>Missale
                  Aboense</title> (<ref type="mss">fr 10937</ref>). A paper bifolium has been sewn
                inside the fragment. This bifolium has some text written on it, in particular on the
                sides that are not readable (the text is visible through the paper).</p>

          <history>
            <origin><p>A <title>register</title> written by a single hand and with content
                pertaining to the possessions of one man, <persName role="owner">Hogenskild
                  Bielke</persName> (1538–1605). The stylistically uniform manuscript was most
                probably written over a rather short period of time: since some of the copied
                letters are dated to the 1580s and 1590s and since Hogenskild Bielke died in 1605,
                the most likely dating is <origDate from="1585" to="1615">late 16th or early 17th
                  century</origDate>. The medieval parchment wrapper seems to have been attached at
                the time of writing, and the cartulary is in its original state.</p></origin>
           <acquisition>
             <p>The record probably came to the Swedish Crown, and later the <orgName>Swedish National Archives</orgName>,
               when the possessions and archives of <persName role="owner">Hogenskild Bielke</persName> were confiscated following
               his execution in <date type="acquisition">1605</date> (see <hi rend="italic">Introduction</hi> to these
                descriptions).</p><p>Previously part of the “Topographica Finland” collection in the
                  Swedish National Archives. Hausen refers to this signum in FMU (e.g. <bibl>FMU 2433</bibl>).</p>
