                  moisture and slight fraying along the edges, but no text losses occur.</condition>

          <history>
            <origin><p>The manuscript contains a single quire with court records, or rather, a simple
                registry of fines (with offences and fines followed by a list of names) given in the
                sessions presided over by <persName role="judge">Bertil Jönsson</persName> in
                  <origDate>1549</origDate> in <origPlace>Viipuri</origPlace> Province. The writing
                is done by one hand using a fast cursive. The manuscript probably once belonged to a
                larger collection.</p></origin>
            <acquisition>
              <p>The later history of the manuscript and how it arrived in the <orgName>Swedish
                  National Archives</orgName> are unknown. Possibly it arrived from the <orgName>Svea court
                    of appeals</orgName> as did a few other fragments in the folder. Number ‘6’ written in a
                near-modern hand in the upper margin of fol. <locus>1r</locus>.</p>
