folia missing after fols. 9, 31, 43, 61, 66, 84, 98, 119. Fol. 118’s
counter-leaf is the back pastedown. Between them, two quires have been placed. A
singleton containing the month of May must be missing between fols. 122 and 123
of the calendar.</div><div class="tei-tag-p">There are several watermarks. The one in the main portion
features a <div class="tei-tag-watermark">crown without arch and without additional
motif</div> (<div class="tei-tag-bibl">Piccard, Kronen, I, 301–340</div>); a
<div class="tei-tag-watermark">circle with a cross above it</div> (<div class="tei-tag-bibl">Briquet,
3034–(40)</div>); two marks of a <div class="tei-tag-watermark">bull with eyes and nostrils and
with a star above it</div> (<div class="tei-tag-bibl">Piccard, Ochsenkopf, VII</div>); a
<div class="tei-tag-watermark">bull with eyes and nose and with a star above it</div>
(<div class="tei-tag-bibl">Piccard, Ochsenkopf, IX, esp. 315</div>; <div class="tei-tag-bibl">Briquet, esp.

in decent condition. There are several folia missing; there is a considerable
amount dirt on the folia; some leaves have holes or have been torn; there is
fraying along the edges; and in places the text has become
smudged.</div></div>

himself as <div data-role="scribe" class="tei-tag-persName">Andreas Nicolai Poyz</div>(?) and dates the
work to <div class="tei-tag-origDate">1468</div> on fol. <div class="tei-tag-locus">97v</div>.</div>
<div class="tei-tag-p">From fol. 120 various later hands making additions. Later hands have also added
notes in the margins against the law texts.</div>

<div class="tei-tag-p">Simple red lombard initials with flourishing in green (usually three-lines high,
four at the beginning of chapters). Headings in the upper margin and article numbers
in the outer margin in red until fol. <div class="tei-tag-locus">46r</div>. After this both have been
added by later hands. Highlighting and article breaks marked in red. There is
occasional elongation of the letters on the first and last rows and occasional
decoration in the lower margins.</div>

<div class="tei-tag-bindingDesc">
<div class="tei-tag-p">Worn, dark brown calf over wooden boards. The boards on both covers have split
vertically down the middle and are held together by the leather of the covers and
the parchment pastedowns. One hook-clasp with the catch on the edge of the front
cover. The clasp is attached to a piece of leather and shows a few simple incised
decorations.</div>
<div class="tei-tag-p">Front and back pastedowns are leaves from a <div class="tei-tag-title">missal</div> of <div data-from="1400" data-to="1499" class="tei-tag-date">saec. XV</div>. On the back cover, another torn piece of
parchment with a charter containing a judgment given by Judge <div data-role="judge" class="tei-tag-persName">Klas Fleming</div> (<div class="tei-tag-bibl">REA 337</div>) has been pasted on top of the
missal fragment.</div>

<div class="tei-tag-origin"><div class="tei-tag-p">The manuscript contains a copy of <div data-role="author" class="tei-tag-persName">Magnus Eriksson</div>’s <div class="tei-tag-title"><div data-rend="italic" class="tei-tag-hi">Landslag</div></div> written in <div class="tei-tag-origDate">1468</div> in a rapid but legible cursive by a scribe who
identifies himself as <div data-role="scribe" class="tei-tag-persName">Andreas Nicolai</div>. The small size and modest appearance suggest
it may have been intended for personal use.</div><div class="tei-tag-p">The manuscript may have been
written originally in <div class="tei-tag-origPlace">Finland</div>, but it was certainly there in <div data-type="acquisition" class="tei-tag-date">1512</div> when it was purchased by
<div data-role="owner" class="tei-tag-persName">Påval Hermansson</div>, presumably a local judge, for use in <div data-type="provenance" class="tei-tag-placeName">Sääksmäki</div>. The Finnish
kalendar found at the end of the volume was probably added during this
time.</div></div>

<div class="tei-tag-p">The manuscript was purchased for <div data-type="provenance" class="tei-tag-placeName">Sääksmäki</div> parish in <div data-type="acquisition" class="tei-tag-date">1512</div>. ‘Liber iste est
possidendus territorium Sex æmeky emptus pro xx marker per virum spectabilem paulum
hermandzson Anno domini mdxij<div data-rend="superscript" class="tei-tag-hi">o</div> jn crastino(?) petri et
pale(!)’ ‘Si quis alienauerit hunc librum a territorio prefato alienauerit ipse a
regno dei’ (fol. <div class="tei-tag-locus">130v</div>). <div data-role="owner" class="tei-tag-persName">Påval Hermansson</div> is probably identical with the judge
appearing in <div class="tei-tag-placeName">Sääksmäki</div> <div class="tei-tag-date">1516</div> (see <div class="tei-tag-bibl">FMU 5882</div>).</div><div class="tei-tag-p">Fol. <div class="tei-tag-locus">119v</div> contains an unidentified
coat of arms: <div data-rend="italic" class="tei-tag-hi">Argent (uncoloured), a tree eradicated sprouting out
two branches with a single leaf proper bordure vert embattled chief vert and
argent</div>. Crest: <div data-rend="italic" class="tei-tag-hi">On a helmet with mantling argent and vert
two arms bowed counter embowed vambraced argent holding pine branches
proper</div>.</div>

<div class="tei-tag-p">Later on the manuscript came into the collections of the minister and book
collector, <div data-role="owner" class="tei-tag-persName">Otto Thott</div> (1703–1785). Upon his death, the manuscripts in his collection
were received by the <div class="tei-tag-orgName">Royal Library in Copenhagen</div> by bequest. Shelf-mark ‘2100
