An unclear quire structure. Quires vary in size from one or two bifolia to eight bifolia. Folios have at times been trimmed and paper slips attached to the manuscript. There are also several loose paper slips between folios.
In decent condition.
Text in a single column, not ruled.
Possibly several hands. Brown ink.
No decoration.
Limp binding: all quires sewn together and to a medieval parchment wrapper. The fragment comes from the same
15th-cent.
Dominican
Lectionary
(21,5 x *30,5 (14 x 23), two columns with 34 lines of text) that was used for wrappers of another set of accounts from
Nynäs
in the
1560s
. The fragment is comprised of three bifolia and a parchment strip all from the same quire and sewn together; see
Stockholm, National Archives, Fr 10953
.
A disorderly register with different sections on the finances of
Vik
estate. Has the character of a notebook perhaps used as a draft for fair-copy records. The register is a part of a large block of records from the
16th century
pertaining to the estates of
Nynäs
,
Vik
,
Kyllelä
, and
Lahis
.
The financial records of
Nynäs
and related estates came to the Swedish Crown, and later the
Swedish National Archives
, when the possessions and archives of
Hogenskild Bielke
were confiscated following his execution in
1605
(see

to these descriptions).
