Two quires, one of six, and one of four bifolia.
The outer edges of all folios have been damaged (with very little harm to readability), and conservation work has been done on the entire manuscript.
Text in a single column, not ruled.
A single cameral hand typical of
mid-16th-century
Sweden. Written in brown ink with some corrections in black.
No decoration.
Currently not bound but sewing holes are visible.
A well written and clear book-keeping record pertaining to the Finnish possessions of
Anna Clemetsdotter Hogelskild
, namely
Nynäs
,
Vik
,
Kyllelä
, and
Lahis
estates. Part of a large surviving block of such records.
The financial records of
Nynäs
and related estates came to the Swedish Crown, and later the
Swedish National Archives
, when the possessions and archives of
Hogenskild Bielke
were confiscated following his execution in
1605
(see
Introduction
to these descriptions).
