Fols. 1–36: Court records in draft from
Hollola
for the year
1585
(March to June). To judge by the chronology of the records, the current foliation seems incorrect in places. The first two leaves should be placed in the middle of the first quire, after fol. 13.
Then 12 martij stodh tingh i Padasiochi sochn ... ... sigfried simonsson hyueneula [= Hyväneula?], dabit ½ marker.
Paper
36 folios
19cm × 28,5cm
Foliation with a stamp or typewriter in the lower right margin.
Two gatherings (1–19 and 20–36) of loose singletons and bifolia.
The leaves are in poor condition and have been heavily conserved. They show various stains and tears and holes, which in places renders the text illegible.
One unruled column with a varying number of lines.
At least two main hands with further hands making additions and corrections.
No decoration.
Unbound singletons and bifolia kept in two gatherings.
The manuscript contains draft records from court sessions held in
Hollola
in
1585
. It was written by a few skilled scribes. Several sections have been cancelled and multiple additions made, to suggest that these were notes that were subsequently processed. The manuscript has suffered a range of damage and the current ordering of pages is a reconstruction, which may be incorrect in places.
The later history of the manuscript and how it arrived in the
Swedish National Archives
is not known. Swedish National Archives’s stamp on the paper folder that surrounds the manuscript. On the same folder is the heading, ‘Koncept till Dombok vid Vinter- och Sommärtingen 1585 med Socknarne i Hollola härad’.
